I am a Senior Allergen Advisor for Allergen Accreditation which is a national accreditation scheme. A food business will work through the framework agreement and will undertake an in-depth allergen audit. Allergen Accreditation awards a 3-year certificate following the rigorous process and provides ongoing support and advice.

I worked with the catering team at Bangor University in September 2018. I provided an interactive Allergen Awareness workshop for the team which was very successful.

I worked with Brodericks Coffee Shop team in December 2018. This coffee shop nestled in T2 at Manchester Airport has a dedicated team of staff who want to make sure they can provide safe food for their customers with allergies. After an audit was undertaken at the coffee shop an interactive Allergen Awareness workshop was very well received by the team who felt they had learnt so much more about managing allergens in their workplace.

The Catering team at The University of Chester worked hard to achieve their Allergen Accreditation Status early in 2018. The whole team were very keen to ensure that any students with a food allergy could be catered for.

I visited Harper Adams University in November 2018. This rural University provide Veterinary courses and Agricultural Degree courses for students.  The Head of Catering, Catering Manager and the entire Catering team attended an Allergen Awareness Course to ensure they are fully aware of their roles and responsibilities and to provide support for those students who are at the University and need to follow a special diet due to their food allergies. David Nuttall, Head of Catering, was very pleased with the course.
